Over A Cheever" is a series of 4 short films made by Dawn Westlake/Ron de Cana Productions between 2008-2011.
All are inspired by the life and work of the Pulitzer Prize-winning American author John Cheever.
The titles are "Project Ion" (2008), "The Catalyst" (2009), "A.L.I.C.E." (2010), and "Covariance" (2011).
All the films were scored by Alvarez-featured guitarist Gregory Johnson of Acoustic Labs. Actors in the series are David Razowsky, Joey D'Auria, Aketza Lopez, Darcy Shean, Katherine Phillips Moser and Lovake Heyer, along with Westlake herself.

Il grottesco, delirante, tragico e sconclusionato viaggio di un uomo normale, Balti, uno che dalla vita non si aspetta altro che di essere lasciato dove sta - in una dimensione fatta di personaggi ai limiti: Laura ha perso sua figlia dopo 7 anni di coma, Dustin è un meccanico-gigolò con un approccio al lavoro forse troppo professionale, Lupo e Candy sono un’improbabile coppia di innamorati platonici, lui tossicodipendente e cinquantenne, lei quindicenne e maniaco compulsiva.
S'incontrano nello strano e sospeso “HAPPY DAYS MOTEL”. Un posto che assomiglia più a un porto di mare che a un albergo.
Dove la gente entra ed esce e nessuno si pone il problema di dover o voler pagare le stanze. Dove la tecnologia è ostile.
Popolato da personaggi surreali. Incastrato fra montagne e scogliere, fra decadente industrializzazione e prepotente natura selvaggia. Incantato come un girone infernale.
Un posto in cui tutto può succedere, ma dove niente mai può cambiare...

Un polveroso Ufficio fuori dal Tempo contiene i fascicoli in cui è segnata la Vita degli esseri umani. Paride lavora lì da più di tremila anni.
Alle diciotto in punto di un piovoso pomeriggio, Paride ha appuntamento con Nicola, un barbone sconfitto e disilluso.
All'orario previsto, però, una serie di eventi sconvolgerà le loro vite e quelle di tanti altri.
Nulla di ciò che accadrà poteva essere preventivato e le certezze immutabili dell'Ufficio crolleranno miseramente.
Nell'esistenza umana ci sono varianti come l'amore, l'amicizia, la forza delle idee, la gioia di vivere, che riescono a essere più potenti del Fato e degli eventi, a volte durissimi, che segnano le esistenze terrene. Il Destino non è scritto nelle stelle, ma si costruisce dentro ognuno di noi.
Perché gli esseri umani, comunque vadano le cose, hanno "sempre" la possibilità di scegliere.
